SOCIAL CONTRIBUTION

The Tobacco Transformation Alliance invests in local communities, in line with the National Development Plan, the Sustainable Development Goals and the South African Bill of Rights.

Our members help to foster rural economic development in the provinces where they are active, by working with local communities to create employment opportunities, educate farmers on sustainable farming projects and invest in emerging farms.

The positive effects of tobacco farming, processing and manufacturing on the lives of participating farmers and their families include food security, educational benefits and opportunities, increased and stable income, as well as enhanced psychological, social and emotional well-being and personal development.
